Travis has also added a flair for pop culture and cosplay to his variety of leather products and projects.
Our Craft Processes
-
Traditional Tools
From hand cutting each piece from a paper pattern to traditional saddle stitching, many of our products are still made the old fashioned way!
Traditional tools include Japanese style skiving knives, bevel tools, tooling stamps and stitching clamps.
-
Laser Engraving & Cutting
Adding 21st century methods to our toolbox opens up many new ways to design new products and personalize customer orders.
Laser Engraving machines have become a popular tool for many leatherworkers.
-
Custom Embossing
Custom Embossing stamps can be made using our laser engraving machine to produce unique custom pieces; from company logos to popular characters or symbols. The stamps are made from wood or Delrin depending on the final effect or longevity needed from the stamp.
-
Hand Tooling
Custom Tooling using old fashioned hand tools to create a 3D relief. Common styles are floral tooling, basket weaves and scalloped borders. Some image designs or tattoo patterns can also tooled.
About The Leather
-
Natural Vegetable Tanned
Vegetable tanned leather is
a type of leather that is tanned using natural tannins derived from plant materials like tree bark, leaves, and fruits. This traditional method has been used for centuries and results in a unique, durable, and beautiful leather that develops a rich patina over time. Unlike chrome tanning, which uses synthetic chemicals, vegetable tanning relies on natural, organic substances to transform animal hides into usable leather.
